The trends of global bioplastics have been very encouraging. Gains have been driven by escalating costs for petroleum-based products, growth initiatives for renewable resources and sustainable alternatives to plastics.

This presents an opportunity to increase supplies of natural derived bio-based polymers to users in many industries.
