Stretch film, also known as stretch wrap or stretch wrap film, is a highly stretchable film commonly used to secure and protect items during storage, transportation, or shipping. It is wrapped tightly around pallets, boxes, or other objects to provide stability, containment, and protection against dust, moisture, and damage.
Stretch film is typically made from biodegradable & compostable material, a plant based material known for its flexibility, stretchability, and tear resistance. LLDPE allows the film to stretch without breaking and provides good load-holding strength.
Stretch film is applied by unwinding it from a roll and wrapping it tightly around the object or pallet being secured. The film clings to itself when stretched, creating a secure and stable wrapping. It can be applied manually by hand, using handheld dispensers, or with the help of automated stretch wrapping machines.
