Stretch film is typically made from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), a type of plastic known for its flexibility, stretchability, and tear resistance. LLDPE allows the film to stretch without breaking and provides good load-holding strength.
Stretch film is applied by unwinding it from a roll and wrapping it tightly around the object or pallet being secured. The film clings to itself when stretched, creating a secure and stable wrapping. It can be applied manually by hand, using handheld dispensers, or with the help of automated stretch wrapping machines.
